With high winds and horizontal rain very much the 'look' of the day, we didn't venture outside much once Gemma had run from car to doorway!

Inside she found a devilish handsome groom awaiting her and following their wedding ceremony, music, food, reception and a fun casino provided the essentials. It was good to see my mate John was their registrar (Cooling Castle comes under Medway Registry District, and isn't part of Kent) By the time Phil & Gemma see these, they'll be drinking Margaritas in a Las Vegas casino, which is where they've chosen for their honeymoon.

I've said it before but I do love low light winter weddings. They're challenging and demanding but produce great images and push creativity in a different direction compared to sunny summers days. Its days like this when having the right kit is absolutely crucial and means that there's no need to blaze away with flash, which loses so much atmosphere. The character of Cooling Castle is really brought to life by its beautiful lighting - and low light days really make the most of it.

John. One of the nicest, friendliest registrars I've worked with - honestly!
