Robert & Elizabeth's wedding at Hever Castle...

added by Claire on November 25, 2010 at 21:46

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure to photograph Robert and Elizabeth's wedding at Hever Castle.

The weather on the day was awful, grey, wet and windy. We were hoping for just a little bit of sunshine but we were disappointed. This didn't matter though as I met up with Robert and Elizabeth at Hever Castle a few days before for a chat about their day and the weather couldn't have been more different. As we walked around I took a few venue shots...just in case!

The weather on the day didn't dampen spirits as we used the beautiful interior of Hever Castle...and also went for a little walk to the Italian Gardens - who says we can't shoot outside when it rains!

Anyway, here are a few of my favourites from the day. The gallery will be online in the next day or so however you'll have to get the password from the bride and groom - not me.

added by Claire on November 11, 2010 at 22:01

On Saturday I met up with Kay & Aaron who are getting married next year at the beautiful Turkey Mill.

We spent a great couple of hours at Shirley Hills for their autumnal pre-wedding shoot.
Kay & Aaron were great fun and I'm really looking forward to their wedding.

Here are a couple of my favourites....

Sonny....

added by Claire on November 10, 2010 at 19:20

Last week I met up with Emma & Justin to meet their new addition, beautiful baby Sonny.
After a bit of a worrying time and nearly two weeks in hospital mummy and daddy were allowed to take home their little man.

When I photograph newborn babies I like to capture them within their first week if possible. I find this is the best time for them as they quickly loose their natural curl. I also like to photograph babies naked or with just a nappy on however this little poppet didn't like to be naked so we kept him wrapped up in his favourite blanket throughout the shoot.

Here are a few of my favourites...

Sarah & Alan's wedding at the Lost Village of Dode

added by Claire on November 6, 2010 at 22:12

Last weekend I was at the lovely Lost Village of Dode to photograph the wedding of Sarah & Alan.

Sarah & Alan's had a Halloween theme, from Halloween dog collars to pumpkins and spiders.
Being Scottish it was natural that Alan wore a kilt. I love seeing groom's wearing kilts....I don't know why, I also like to see groom's wearing their military uniform, I think they look very smart!
Sarah wore a black wedding dress with gorgeous black vintage boots which she later took off for their second ceremony which was the hand-fasting ceremony. The bride also wore fairy wings for an extra special touch.
The pumpkins and apples that decorated the venue looked great!! Harvey, one of the bride and groom's three dogs, was a great ring-bearer and all three dogs behaved very well all day.

The weather played nice for us, we had rain until an hour before the guests started to arrive and then we had brilliant sunshine from when everyone arrived until everyone left...perfect!! I love sunny autumn days, the richness of the trees really stood out around Dode.

An emotional ceremony, a very happy bride and groom and three very well behaved dogs...here is a sneaky peak. Once the bride and groom have seen all of their photographs I will post more.
