Happy New Year...

added by Claire on December 31, 2012 at 15:05

As 2012 comes to a close I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of my clients, both past, present and future, and of course the fantastic venues and wedding suppliers who recommend me for all your support in 2012.
I'd especially like to thank my husband, daughter, family and friends for putting up with me!

It's been a fantastic year, full of lots of memories - both for me and for my lovely clients. Lots of beautiful weddings I've had the priviledge of photographing, lots of gorgeous families and lots of scrummy newborn babies who I've photographed.

I'm very lucky to do something that I love and it really is a priviledge, and a honour, to be asked to be your photographer.

This year has had lots of highlights for me, the first was becoming a finalist at the Kent Wedding Awards for the Wedding Photographer of the Year. Sadly I didn't win the title but I will be entering again!!
I also travelled to County Mayo, Ireland to photograph the beautiful wedding celebrations of Alannah and Tom at the gorgeous Mount Falcon Country Estate. You can read about it and see some of the photographs earlier in this blog.
I photographed the youngest newborn I've ever photographed (apart from my own daughter), baby Jack at just 4 days new.
I photographed the daughter of one of my wedding couples exactly one year on from their wedding - and their daughter has the same name as my daughter.
Lots of highlights in 2012 that I can't list them all.

I'm excited as we enter 2013, lots of lovely weddings to look forward too and new babies already booked in for their first photo shoot with me.

BUT, I'm most excited about 2013 as it is my 15th year as a professional photographer so I will be celebrating my 15 years with monthly offers and the odd giveway! So, please do keep an eye on the blog and also keep up to date by giving my facebook page a 'like', www.facebook.com/level11 and you could just benefit!!

I am also excited to be exhibiting at the Wedding Fair at Glow, Bluewater (http://weddingfairatbluewater.com/) in February, 8-10th, and again in October. Plus I will also be exhibiting at the Baby and Toddler Show at Glow, Bluewater in April.
So, if your planning your wedding please do come along in February and see me at stand S8 for some very special show offers and a look through some of my gorgeous wedding albums.

I have 20 pairs of complimentary tickets to the wedding show to give away, to grab yours please just email me at claire@level11.co.uk

Finally, I'd like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! I hope it's full of love, happiness and fun with good health to enjoy every moment!

Here are just a few of my favourite photographs that I've captured in 2012...

Here's to a sucessful 2013 filled with lots more wonderful memories!

Tonya and Charles wedding at Brandshatch Place and Spa Hotel...

added by Claire on August 6, 2012 at 20:49

So, you know i'm a bit rubbish at keeping this blog up to date...I know, poor show but it will change!

Anyway, one year ago today Tonya and Charles got married at the lovely Brandshatch Place and Spa hotel, in Fawkham - near Brandshatch.

They had two ceremony's, one civil and one blessing. Both were equally lovely and full of emotion.

My day started at Tonya and Charles home to capture the bridal details and all the excitement of the girls getting ready. Surprisingly Charles was there, but only quickly as he delivered a beautiful bouquet of flowers for his gorgeous bride.

I left their home and made my way to the hotel to capture the groom's details and capture Charles getting ready with his best man and brother. Gotta say, more nervous-ness in their room than there was at their home!

The bride arrived a little bit late and Tonya looked beautiful in her oyster coloured gown.

Check out her gorgeous pink shoes!

Amy and Dylan got married...

added by Claire on June 13, 2012 at 09:38

Yep, I know - it's been manic and I've left the blog whilst I do other stuff but I'm making an effort to catch up and blog all my lovely weddings. They may not be in order but at least they're here, right? Poor excuse, I know.

Back to it.

So, Amy and Dylan got married at the beautiful Notely Tyth Barn, in Thame, Oxfordshire.
The story behind it was that when Amy used to see the barn as a little girl, she'd say to her mum "I'm going to get married there one day!" - so lovely!

And so Amy did get married there, to her prince charming Dylan.

I started the day with Dylan and his family at their beautiful home very early in the day. After some great shots with Dylan I went on to meet Amy and her mum and bridesmaids at the hotel where I spent a while capturing the excitement and all the little details.

The weather was crazy. Sunshine, showers, sunshine, wind. We had sun right up to the point that Amy arrived at the venue. Amy's car had to wait just outside the gate whilst all the guests arrived and took to their seats. Just as she arrived at the door to get out of the car the heaven's opened! However, that didn't dampen anyone's mood and Amy met an emotional Dylan waiting for her at the end of the aisle.

After a lovely ceremony, it was still raining, so guests greeted the bride and groom whilst I started the few groups that the bride and groom requested.

Eventually the sun made an appearance for the rest of the day just before dinner so we had the opportunity to get outside and make the most of the great garage door that I'd spotted earlier! It was a bit wet underfoot but that was fine!

I left the bride and groom dancing and enjoying themselves as I made my way home with a smile on my face knowing I'd captured so great photographs and moments that will be remembered forever!

Congratulations guys, enjoy your first wedding anniversary, sorry it took so long to blog!!

...and my absolute favourite.

A nice little comment...

added by Claire on June 11, 2012 at 23:10

Today, I found a few messages on my facebook page which were hiding. I didn't realise that they were hiding within my messages folder so apologies to anyone who has 'facebooked' me and haven't had a reply - I didn't know, until today!

Anyway, it was there that I found this lovely little comment.

"I have just seen your photography on your website and facebook page. Beautiful photographs..really beautiful. Individual, characterful. I was recently exposed to a presentation of the most stunningly boring portraiture. Your photographs are wonderful. Congratulations. Where are you based? You have to be a lovely person to see people so richly!"

 Thank you so much Clara!

Comments, from my clients or just 'admirers' really do mean a lot to me, so do feel free to comment on my blog or facebook page. Just click the 'comment' tab below each blog post or click on the Facebook icon below each post. You can also follow me on Twitter @Level_Eleven

Katie and Tim's wedding at Rye Town Hall and The George in Rye...

added by Claire on November 16, 2011 at 19:54

...a few weeks ago I had the priviledge of photographing Katie and Tim's beautiful wedding in Rye, East Sussex.

I love Rye, I like wandering around the old cobbled streets and visiting the little quaint shops so I was looking forward to Katie and Tim's wedding.

The day started off with Katie and her sister getting ready at The George in Rye - which was to be the venue for the reception.
I then went and found Tim and his best men in the gun garden for some pictures before heading to the pub for a quick drink (them, not me) pre-ceremony.
I left them to it as I made my way back to The George to meet Katie, her bridesmaids and her father for the short walk to Rye Town Hall for their ceremony.

The ceremony was beautiful, I had to stop a tear or two falling down my cheek behind my camera. I captured some great shots during the ceremony, little knowing looks between the couple!!

Ceremony over, it was time for Rex, Rye's infamous town crier to announce to everyone that they had indeed married before leading the way, with everyone behind him, back to The George for the celebrations to begin.

Once all the guests were greeted and were happy with a glass of bubbly, I took the bride and groom off for a walk around the cobbled streets of Rye to take shots of them both for 20minutes or so before heading back for detail shots before the wedding breakfast. The room where the breakfast was to take place at The George looked beautiful, I particularly liked the personalised bar mats complete with both surnames and wedding date which the guests had as favours.
